Star Wars: co-star Max von Sydow, is joining HBO’s Game of Thrones season 6, as the Three-Eyed Raven.

Game of Thrones has added another acclaimed actor to its cast, with Max Von Sydow joing the massive HBO hit.

The actor whose career spans across dozens of huge feature films including The Exorcist, Minority Report, Judge Dredd and the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens has officially signed on to Season 6. The casting comes after the news that another great Ian Mcshane and unlike Ian we know who Max Von Sydon will be playing.

He will be reprising the role of the Three-Eyed Raven who will briefly met in Season 4, the mystical tutor who is fused in to the roots of the Weirwood Tree.

Both Von Sydow and McShane are not expected to have much screen time but both their roles are going to be crucial in the future seasons. Season 6 is currently in production and Von Sydow is already on set, the series is expected to be return next Spring with 10 episodes.

Regarding Von Sydow role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens it is still a mystery, various rumours include an old (some how still alive) Boba Fett to a Rebel character.
